As Christians we know that we must put God first, instead of being entangled in the ways of the world. But, many of us suffer from the “curse of busyness”—we are too preoccupied with the things of the world to stay spiritually hungry. To be spiritual is to pay attention to the spirit within, through silence and solitude. Solitude is the furnace of transformation—your true self surfaces before God: the good, the bad, the ugly, the buried truths. Like Jesus, we are often tempted in three aspects: the gratification of self-desires, self-pride and self-ambition. We are ambitious to see our own visions come to pass, but the true source of our vision must be the Holy Spirit. Only when God gives the vision, then we are assured of the provision to bring it to pass. This raw and honest message from Kong Hee will challenge you: is being with God enough of a destiny for you?
