Chastening is an important process of divine discipline or training that God gives those He calls His sons. It's important not to mistake it for divine judgment: chastening is for our profit, that we may be partakers of God's holiness (Heb 12:10). In this sermon, Choong Tsih-Ming examines what forms of chastening—trials and afflictions—we may face, how we respond to it and the purpose for it. Afflictions may take the form of the retributive, corrective, educative and preventative. The right response to chastening is to cheerfully submit to God. Let this message lead you to submitting to God's chastening and benefitting fully from it.
