Levi was a tax collector who received the call of Jesus (Luke 5), and was transformed into a disciple of Christ called Matthew, the writer of the Gospel. In this message, Bobby Chaw shows what it means to surrender our lives to Jesus. First, it is God who draws us to Himself—we cannot come to Him unless He does. We must therefore make time and give God space to draw us in and speak to us. Second, we must respond immediately to His invitation, just as Levi did—he rose up and followed Jesus right away. The disposition of our hearts must be right: Levi had a complete change of mind; he surrendered himself to Jesus unconditionally and absolutely. Pastor Bobby urges us not to take our relationship with God for granted—let’s not ignore Him when He knocks on the door of our hearts.
